Inspired by rhythm, movement, and the evolution of skate-worn sneakers, the collection reinterprets Vans’ legendary Jazz Stripe as a visual line of motion. Continuing the deconstructed, double-layer theme from their first release, the design reflects how skaters grind through grip tape and pavement, revealing new layers over time. Splatter graphics appear on the upper overlay, with mismatched left–right patterns that evoke the improvisational spirit of jazz. Beneath the surface, Vans’ classic checkerboard pattern is hidden within the underlay, gradually emerging with wear to highlight the shoe’s layered construction and its connection to skate culture.
