Under a “The Wave” banner, Patta has modified the first Air Max‘s iconic mudguard, giving it a curved nature in-line with the series’ title. Deviating from the “Monarch” and “Noise Aqua” tones that’ve graced two prior entries in the latest joint-effort by the long-time partners, the latest pair arrives predominantly-clad in “Rush Maroon.” The sneaker’s base maintains the mesh construction that it debuted with in 1987, indulging in a heritage-like “Metallic Silver” hue. Other details include orange hits at the collar and “NIKE AIR”-branding on the heel, a semi-“aged” midsole and packaging and accessories nodding to Patta’s owners’ Surinamese heritage.
