Blazer originally created as a basketball shoe in 1973 and named after its regional NBA team, the Portland Trail Blazers. In the mid-2000s, NIKE had to replenished the design for skateboard community that became a new model, BLAZER SB. It featured a padded collar and insoles, as well as Zoom Air cushioning technology.
