BLAZER originally created as a basketball shoe in 1973 and named after its regional NBA team, the Portland Trail Blazers. The style was one of the most technologically advanced shoes for basketball at the time with rubber soles for sturdy support and traction.
ACRONYM founder Errolson Hugh is known for his functional-yet-stylish approach to techwear. Starting with the Blazer Lows, these come in “Night Maroon” and “Black” colorways, each featuring a ballistic mesh upper with ghillie laser-cut detailing, adding an element of distressing throughout the shoe. The standout feature, however, is the removable TPU heel clip. Adding a futuristic element of hardware to the shoe, the heel clips are secured with six screws which can be removed and interchanged using the edge of the dog tag hangtag.
